Labor Day Sunday Picnic and Fireworks
Sept. 4, 2016

Free Picnic from 2pm-4pm. Meal Voucher required.  Limit 1 meal voucher per person.  Pick up at front counter on 9/4/16 while supplies last.  Park opens at 11am.
A portion of the proceeds from ONLINE PURCHASES of All Day Extreme Passes from Sept. 3-5, 2016 will be donated to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
WFRE/WFMD onsite with radio personalities.
Dunk Tank, Cornhole and more to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.

Howard County Genealogical Society Meeting

Wednesday Howard County Genealogical Society Meeting will be held at the Bain Senior"
5470 Ruth Keeton Way, Columbia, Md. 7-9pm.  Lecture topic:  "Alien Records During WWII”
presented by member Cornelia Mueller.  Meeting, lecture, refreshments all free and everyone is welcome.  If Howard Co Senior Centers are closed the meeting will be cancelled.

Wings Over Maryland

Martin State Airport’s Hangar One

It’s a fun night in Hangar One at the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum’s annual gala fundraiser Wings Over Maryland.  Ken Jackson, host of WYPR’s “In the Mood” big band radio program and the 20 piece big band Ain’t Misbehavin’ return with another year of entertainment at the Museum’s Hangar Dance/Bull & Oyster Roast on September 17 at 6:30-10:30pm at Martin State Airport’s Hangar One. This year’s theme salutes the veterans of the Vietnam War.  Attendees are invited to dress in their 1960’s/70’s fashions and enter the best period  attire contest. Dinner is by Atlantic Caterers and the dinner hour music is with DJ Hugo Keesing. Lockheed Martin, will be honored as Friend of the Museum. Tickets are $55 for Museum members, veterans and active military and $65 for other attendees. Deadline for purchasing tickets is September 9.   This fund raising evening with a silent auction benefits the Museum’s many exhibits, education, archival,  and restoration endeavors.  For tickets visit
